The Challenge
The client needed a platform capable of handling 50,000+ concurrent users during flash sales while maintaining sub-second page loads. Their legacy system was crashing under peak traffic, losing an estimated $200K per hour during outages.
Our Solution
We built a microservices architecture with Redis caching, CDN-backed static assets, and a custom recommendation engine using collaborative filtering. The checkout flow was optimized to 3 steps with guest checkout support.
